Meeting was called to order 4pm. Discussion with Joe Baker about program for Friday of Memorial Day weekend. The working title is: "Monterberrry Festival", siggested by Kit.
There will be puppeteers, folk singers, and, of course, Strawberry Shortcake! This will be held in the Meeting house. Kenn Bassler will begin his summer music series the following evening at the General Store.
Kathryn reported the July 3rd Township #1 celebration to take place at the Bidwell House. This is a joint celebration of the founding of Tyringham, Monterey towns, funded by both Cultural Councils. It will be an all day concert of many local musicians.
Other programs now scheduled to be offered by the Monterey Cultural Council are as follows:
Bonner McAllester: Nature walk Sat. April 24th 10am-noon
John Root: Mushrooms of New England slide lecture Either Aug. 21st or 28th
Pastel Workshop by Greg Maichack: John will check with Greg re: available dates
This will be limited to the first 15 people who sign up. There was some discussion about whether to offer a second class if the first one fills up quickly.

Wendy reported on approximate cost for Strawberry Shortcake. Kit offered to help obtain strawberries at a discounted price.
